This is the batter I made on Tuesday from Jane Asher's Eats for Treats, a cookery book Mum got when I was small.
This is half-way through cooking my first pancake 🙂
I love pancakes. We were going to have pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, but that didn’t happen. I’d made the batter and everything too. So we had them last night, although Dad decided to opt out for some reason. So here are some pictures taken of the fun of pancake day 🙂
I hope everyone had a brilliant Pancake Day/Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras whenever they celebrated it!
This is my first pancake. It was yummy 🙂
I just got back from posting in my EMA (that’s End of Module Assignment, yeah I keep thinking of MTV’s EMAs and of the Educational Maintenance Allowance too!). Irritatingly we’re not “allowed” to use Recorded Delivery, so I’ve had to settled for Proof of Posting. I wanted to track it Every. Step. Of. The. Way. Damnit!!! Now the waiting game starts.
I’m not good at the waiting game.
On brighter news, I can actually start reading and therefore blogging again – this isn’t actually a blog post, really 😉 I’ve got two books left over from last year which I’ve already read, but as you saw in this post life decided to rear its head. Seriously not cool! I’d actually starting writing a review for one, so hopefully my first book blog of the year won’t be too far off. No promises though.
With only one day to go before the big day, so to speak, I thought I’d take the time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! I hope everyone has a fun filled day with friends and family whether they celebrate the day or not. I will be spending the day with my family, eating too much, and exchanging gifts and watching bad telly. I’ll also NOT be venturing out to enjoy the chaos of the Boxing Day Sales – they’ll still be there later in the week.
My posting to the blog has become almost non-existent. Sorry! I had drafts of post all lined up to post from the end of November to early December. I even had thoughts on how I was going to handle Christmas and the New Year, and what my first post of 2012 was going to be. You see, I had to be organised because I’ve got a 5,0o0 word essay due on January 16th which I’m going to have to send by post. Unfortunately life decided to rain on my parade. My plans all fell into ruin because I got swamped in trying to prepare for my essay at the end of November and then in early December I had an allergic reaction to some medication I was taking. That stopped everything. It was not fun. I’m still not one hundred percent, but I do have enough energy to go back to being me. I’m still going to try to post what I was going to do for Christmas and New Year, but there will for certain be no more reviews posted on this blog until mid-January. Sorry. I wish life hadn’t decided to rain on me, but it did. In case I don’t get the chance to post again, I hope you all have a Merry Christmas (whether you celebrate it or not) and that you have a fantastic New Year.
