Welcome to The Flutterby Room. This is my first official post to the blog, and I have to say I’m kinda excited 🙂 The whole idea of this blog is to create a place where I can talk about not only the books I read, but my favourite books and my favourite authors. But first, a little bit about myself.

My name is Becki, I’m 24 years old and I live in the UK. I’m currently studying to do my Masters in English with the OU. I’m something of a bibliophile, and I currently have 295 fiction books in my collection. Most of these fall into the (rather broad) category of fantasy or horror, though not all of them. I have several favourite authors, and I tend to have favourite series more than I do favourite books. I’m not particularly bothered if the books I read fall into either adult of YA categories – and for favoured authors I’m prepared to explore outside of these boundaries.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to update this blog again until after the 7th April, as I have several outside commitments that must take precedence – including an essay on Coriolanus. I’m really sorry about this, but I wanted to get everything set up before I started in earnest.
